The cold process method for making soap has been used for many years, and an upcoming Calgary class will teach this technique.
Those who sign up for the Soap Making Workshop that is on the way for the city will be preparing bars scented with bergamot and cedar. While they work, they will pick up skills they can use to make soap in their home kitchen, and everyone will go home with at least one pound to cure on their own.
Before they begin the process of making their own soap, the attendees will be taught how to do so safely, and the equipment and other materials needed will all be provided. It is mandatory that everyone wear long sleeves, close-toed shoes and pants. Snacks and other light refreshments will be served on the house, and tickets for the session are $95.00 each.
A hands-on class like this gives members of the public a chance to discover a new hobby. Instruction and tip sheets, as well as other materials that may be helpful to the attendees in such a session, can be prepared by an area printing services company.
The Soap Making Workshop: Cedar & Bergamot will offer a hands-on introduction to the art of cold process soap making on March 18th. It will begin at 5:00 pm at 1510 7 Street in Calgary.
