Calgary class to construct succulent planters
Succulents are plants with fleshy leaves, offering ease of care that makes them a good choice for the beginner, and they will be the stars of an upcoming plant and sip style occasion.
Paradise Beverage Company in Calgary will be the host for a workshop that will construct succulent planters. Organized by Rock Paper Brushes, the Succulent Planter Workshop will take two hours to complete, and the materials for the project will be supplied.
The participant will receive two or three succulents to work with, and they will each be issued a glass planter for their mini garden. Soil will be supplied, as well as preserved moss, sand, and rocks. Decorative elements, including shells, signs and figurines, will also be available.
The instructor for the session will walk the group through their project, and they will be invited to decorate their planters at their own pace. Everyone will learn how to care for their new plant collection, and they can take it home when the session is finished. Sheets of tips and advice may be appreciated by those who take part in a class similar to this one, and these can be ordered from area print shops.
