A garden centre in the Calgary area is excited to welcome the arrival of spring, and to mark the occasion, it will be hosting a special evening for the community.
Blue Grass Garden Centre has prepared an event that will kick off the spring gardening season. It will have lots to see and do, and both newbie and experienced green thumbs will walk away with knowledge and some new additions to their plantings.
The attendees will be treated to some drinks and light bites, and everyone will be invited to choose a “blossom” that will provide them with a discount on any purchases they choose to make. A workshop will be held to help give everyone an opportunity to brush up on their gardening skills, and prize draws are also on the agenda.
Along with the prize draws, learning sessions and other fun, the organizers have planned a collection drive for the Canadian Cancer Society. Everyone who makes a contribution will receive a plant to take home with them. Open-house-style events are often quite popular, and a flyer printing company may prove to be a valuable partner in spreading the word.
Blue Grass Garden Centre in Balzac will be getting spring off to a flying start on April 12th. The doors will open to the public for the activity at 5:00 pm.
