Wangara will play host to the next twice-monthly coffee catch up of the Wanneroo Business Association (WBA). The event plans are reported to include a speed networking element.
The Wanneroo Business Association is an organisation formed to support the business community in Perth’s northern suburbs. Its Coffee Catch Up series offers participants a forum for informal connection with local business owners, and it is one of a range of education and networking programs offered.
Speed networking originated from and is the professional equivalent of the ‘speed dating’ movement. Individuals are usually allocated a short time to undertake many brief introductions, with the objective to quickly identify mutual interests between parties for a follow-up at a later date. It is an efficient way to meet a number of prospective connections. Business Cards are often exchanged at such events.
The upcoming coffee catch-up in Wangara will spotlight Perth Energy, a Western Australian energy provider, and it will introduce its members and business operations to the group. Perth Energy is a WBA sponsor. The Coffee Catch Up events are being held with COVID precautions in place and often attract 30 to 40 participants.
The Wangara Coffee Catch Up will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am on 20 April at Fantasy Fitness and Dance. There is no charge for members and first-time non-members of the WBA. Admission for other non-members is $15. Bookings are required and can be made online.
