Wangara area to experience English indie group

A well-known indie band from Britain with a massive Australian following will soon perform live in the Wangara area.

Appreciated by British and Australian music lovers alike, The Wombats, an independent group hailing from Liverpool, England, are playing in Western Australia as part of their new tour. The seven-show extravaganza will see The Wombats play multiple dates across the country that spawned the animals behind the group’s name, with fans of the band in Wangara and other local suburbs getting the chance to see them live when they perform a set in Perth.

The indie band’s Australian tour will come on the back of several festival appearances in the UK and nationwide concert dates. The Wombats will play at both the Reading Festival and the Leeds Festival back in the UK before undertaking their adventure down under. Festival organisers sometimes employ banner printing services to create large-scale signage for promoting their outdoor events.

Since their debut 2006 recording entitled “Girls, Boys and Marsupials”, The Wombats have enjoyed major success, selling more than one million albums around the world.

The Wombats will now take to the stage at the HBF Stadium, which is located at 100 Stephenson Avenue in Mount Claremont, Western Australia on Sunday, June 5. The show will start at 7 pm and run until 11 pm.
