Visitors to Wangara and its surrounding areas during the holiday season will have the opportunity to view a unique new art show at the Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre Gallery.
Organised by the Wanneroo Museum and Art Collection’s team, the free `Within These Walls’ exhibition has been described as “quirky and innovative”. It cleverly showcases carefully selected pieces from the City’s Art Collection, with some of the museum’s rarely seen artefacts presented in a fun and innovative way.
The display Forms a path of adventure and discovery for all ages as it leads guests through a series of conceptual spaces, dedicated to the natural elements, texture, still life, machinery and pop art.
To add to the cultural experience, local children will be able to take part in a variety of related workshops, especially devised for their enjoyment during the January school holiday period. It’s a chance to explore the various art Forms first hand.
The experience may even add inspiration for young people to pursue further studies or future careers in artistic endeavours such as architecture, photography or graphic design work for Print companies.
The `Within These Walls’ exhibition is open from now until February 2, 2014 at the Gallery, Library and Cultural Centre on Rocca Street in Wanneroo. Viewing times are Tuesday to Friday, 10:00am to 4:00pm and during weekends from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.
More details on the school holiday workshop program, which will include a range of options such as kid’s sports, art and youth activities, can be obtained by contacting the Wanneroo Regional Museum.
