Living, leisure and Dogs Breakfast expo for residents

Pet owners in Wangara, Western Australia will be among residents in the City of Wanneroo to take part in the annual ‘Dogs Breakfast’.

The unique breakfast experience is part of the council’s ‘Living and Leisure Expo’ which is the first of many events to be held over the spring and summer period.

Mayor Tracey Roberts said the Dogs Breakfast was once a separate event but had grown to such an extent that it was now able to be incorporated into the Living and Leisure Expo which features leisure, home and the pet extravaganza.

Roberts said the event would feature giveaways, competitions, entertainment and workshops. Organisers of the event are even encouraging children to take their pets along, as there will be a range of activities for all to enjoy.

The lifestyle and home exhibits are aimed at parents and those seeking to spruce up their homes, according to the Mayor.

Licence renewals and registrations for dogs will be undertaken by the City’s Rangers and Mayor Roberts said that as well as scanning and microchip services for dog owners, free vet checks for residents’ four-legged friends will also be available.

The Mayor urged residents to attend the Living and Leisure Expo to be held on October 25 at the Kingsway Sporting Complex, saying visitors will have access to demonstrations, activities and a diverse number of exhibits. Flyer printing for some of the events is already underway.
