Last chance to see work by Dali and Van Gogh

Time is running out for art enthusiasts from Wangara to see work by some of the world's greatest artists.

The ‘Van Gogh, Dali and Beyond’ exhibition at the Art Gallery of Western Australia closes on Monday.

The show is part of a series being held at the central Perth gallery and has been arranged with the help of New York's Museum of Modern Art.

This collection has more than 130 pieces, including paintings and sculptures. As well as work by Salvador Dali and Vincent Van Gogh, the exhibition features a number of artists who are thought to have greatly influenced the art world and society, such as Picasso and Cezanne.

Families might like to visit the gallery on Sunday when it will be holding a family fun day, with tours of the exhibition and special events with local artists on offer. Tickets for this day include travel on public transport, which could be helpful for families travelling from the Wangara area.

A range of printing services have been used to create merchandise, including Catalogues which allow visitors to take home a permanent record of what they saw in the exhibition.

The gallery is open from 10:00am until 5:00pm every day except Tuesday. On Fridays, the gallery is also open in the evening from 5:30pm to 10:00pm. Although general gallery admission is free, tickets must be purchased for this specific event. Tickets can be bought in advance via the gallery's website.
