Three Wangara businesses have joined forces to open a new retail space for plants, garden features and homewares.
The partnership was born of necessity, with Chelsea Macri of Let It Grow Co and Vanessa Bird of The Birds Nest Co both finding that running their businesses from home left them with inadequate storage space. The two of them contacted Theresa Nguyen of The Botanical Home and agreed to found The Greenhouse Gathering together.
The new arrangement gives space for the owners to work on their garden products, and to stock and sell them to customers. Each of the three business owners have contributed their own skills and interests to the store, as well as sourcing a variety of products from Western Australian small businesses.
With new room for growth in their business, the owners are now seeking ways to educate locals about indoor gardening. As a business with a wide range of specialty products on offer, The Greenhouse Gathering could benefit from using Catalogues to inform potential customers.
Bird's area of expertise is Japanese moss balls, and she also offers a range of pot plants hand selected for indoor growing. With many people lacking the space for large outdoor gardens, indoor plants are rising in popularity. Macri's company specialises in planter Boxes and succulents, while Nguyen produces a selection of terraria suitable for small spaces.
