The city's events season will provide a host of fun and entertaining activities, ranging from carnival rides and cinema screens to community concerts and markets, according to Mayor of Wanneroo Tracey Roberts. She said the extensive programme would give residents an opportunity to safely connect in a COVID-19 safe way, and added:
“Whether you are a movie or music fan or simply love local produce, there is something for everyone to enjoy."
The free events will begin with a festive evening of Christmas songs at Girrawheen's Hainsworth Park on December 19 between 5pm and 8pm. The entertainment will feature the choir from the Emmanuel Christian Community School, as well as kid's activities and roving circus elves.
Other live entertainment planned over the coming three months includes a concert on January 16, 2021 at Butler's Kingsbridge Park, which will feature an array of the area's talented artists. These will include Jordan Anthony from “The Voice” singing with the Subi Brothers, the Da Beat Dance Studio team and the fantastic sound of Switch, a six-piece band that will present the hits from the era spanning the Swinging Sixties to the nineties.
In March, Banksia Grove's Peridot Park will be the venue for a fabulous night of entertainment starring the Royal Australian Navy Band Western Australia and support act Faraday's Cage.
Events such as these are often advertised online or via community-based flyer printing campaigns.
