Music fans from Wangara and throughout the City of Wanneroo are set for a rocking good time at this year’s free City of Wanneroo Presents concert.
The City has secured the talents of Australian indie rock band British India to headline the annual event along with support acts like Holy Holy, Little May, The Hunting Birds and Tired Lion.
Advertised together on Signs for the event, they make a compelling musical programme that should not be missed, according to a Council spokesman.
British India, which formed in Melbourne in 2004 and has since released five albums, has included the Wanneroo concert into its national tour. This begins on October 1 in Newcastle, New South Wales and concludes in Fremantle, Western Australia on December 19.
The spokesman said residents who attend the concert will be treated to a stellar lineup of first class entertainment that can be enjoyed by the entire family.
He said families will also be able to take along a picnic or indulge in a delicious array of food available from some of Perth’s most popular food trucks, which will be catering for visitors to the event.
City of Wanneroo residents will have first choice of the free tickets required to access the concert, which will be held at the Wanneroo Showgrounds on November 5 from 4:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Tickets are available from October 3.
