Local businesses in the City of Wanneroo will be recognised at this year’s 17th Annual Business Awards.
The awards are run by the Wanneroo Business Association and acknowledge businesses who have been up and running for at least six months and who are association members. Nominees at this year’s event will be required to highlight their commitment to the local business community.
Leonardo Castiblanco, who owns Global Company Services, which trades under the name Appliance Parts Solutions, would like to encourage local businesses to become involved with the business association and enter into the competition.
The Wangara company has won several business awards in recent years. Castilblanco said he worked hard to raise his company profile through local networking and felt that being an awards recipient largely contributed to an increase in confidence that his customers now had for his company's products and services. Print shops can be a useful way to provide promotional material for local businesses.
He highlighted the increase in business that he has experienced over the six years from when he first started his home-based business, to his now flourishing and well-known local company, and credits some of his success with being involved with the local business association.
