Women Economic Forum to be held in India

Over 2,000 delegates are expected to attend the Annual Women Economic Forum (WEF) in New Delhi, India, this April.

The WEF is an international symposium that aims to empower women and build connections between women who are inspired to create a positive change in all areas of life.

Carol Hanlon, CEO of Belmont Business Enterprise Centre will be leading the Perth delegation and said its main focus in India will be to promote the Perth WEF and showcase the abilities and accomplishments of the Western Australian women. Futhermore, she hopes to share personal stories and be a positive example to other women at the conference. She wants this to encourage women to attend the Perth forum later in the year.

Hanlon will also be announcing the sponsorship of two WEF Perth Conference Fee Scholarships by the Welshpool Rotary Club of Western Australia. The scholarships are for women from developing countries who are making a positive difference through their NGO or other undertakings.

It is hoped that the WEF scholarships will build ongoing relationships with the Welshpool Rotary Club for further opportunities for engagements.

Welshpool Rotary Club is part of Rotary International and raises money through sausage sizzles, quiz nights and fundraisers including the sale of their promotional Pens, pencils and badges.

The forum will be held in India from 11th April until 16th April.
