Welshpool comedy fans to enjoy UK talent

A British comedian will soon be performing live onstage for Australian audiences in Perth.

Those who love UK comedy in Welshpool and other suburbs of the Western Australian capital will soon get a chance to see Joe Lycett when he takes to the stage at the Riverside Theatre in May. The upcoming performance is part of the annual Perth Comedy Festival and will see Lycett unleash his new show entitled “More, More, More! How Do You Lycett? How Do You Lycett?”

Presenters of major events like yearly comedy festivals sometimes use professional banner printing services to create durable outdoor signage that can withstand a wide range of weather conditions.

A multi-talented artist, Lycett is not only a stand-up comedian, but also a painter and television presenter. In the UK, he is known for appearing on shows like Taskmaster, QI, 8 Out of 10 Cats and Never Mind the Buzzcocks, as well as for presenting Joe Lycett's Got Your Back and The Great British Sewing Bee.

He is renowned for his sardonic style, elaborate set designs and public stunts. 2020 saw the comic change his name to Hugo Boss through a deed poll as part of a protest campaign aimed at the fashion label.

Joe Lycett will perform at the Riverside Theatre’s Parenting Room located at 21 Mounts Bay Road, in Perth on Saturday, May 20. The comedian will be onstage from 8pm.
