A Perth venue is set to host a one-man show from one of Scotland’s best-loved actors, renowned for his work on stage and screen.
Film fans from Welshpool to Wangara and other places near Perth will soon get to see the Scottish American actor, author and cabaret star, Alan Cumming when he arrives at the Riverside Theatre in January with his new show. A Golden Globe Award and Emmy Award nominee, Cumming has been given both Olivier and Tony awards in his time. He is now bringing his new show, “Alan Cumming Is Not Acting His Age” to antipodean audiences in 2023. Enjoying a successful stage career, he has performed Shakespeare in London’s West End and Cabaret on Broadway.
However, many audience members will know him from his countless cinematic appearances including a Russian villain in James Bond movie, Golden Eye, a Marvel mutant superhero in X-Men 2 and a colourful aristocrat in action-adventure picture Plunkett & Macleane.
Alan Cumming Is Not Acting His Age will be performed live at the Perth’s Riverside Theatre based at 21 Mounts Bay Road on Saturday, January 7. The one-man show will begin at 8 pm and run until 10.30 pm.
