Welshpool area to offer nutritional advice

An event designed to help parents prepare healthy lunches for their children to bring to school is taking place in Perth next year.

Welshpool parents looking for tips on what a well-balanced lunchbox looks like for their children can attend an upcoming event at the Perth City Library. January will see the civic building present “Packed with Goodness” and families from surrounding suburbs with children of school age are invited to participate.

Libraries and other community centres sometimes work alongside brochure printing services when they supply educational experiences, to provide participants with literature to take home.

The upcoming event will see the Crunch & Sip team offer helpful instructions on the best ways to make a healthy packed lunch. This informative session is loaded with useful ideas, information and support.

Topics covered include inspiration for making lunchbox packing simpler, easy ideas for healthy snacks, how to understand labels on food products and tips on how to encourage children to become more adventurous eaters.

Parents participating in the session will get a take-home pack of valuable resources and will be automatically entered into the chance to win a door prize.

The Packed with Goodness event will run at Perth City Library on Thursday, January 16. The event will start at 1 pm and finishes at 2 pm, and the library can be found at 573 Hay Street in Perth.
