Top executives to speak at awards for entrepreneurs and innovators

Leading Australian entrepreneurs will be sharing their secrets at a special event in Perth coming up next week

The Entrepreneurs and Innovators Breakfast, hosted by Networking WA, will include four of the country’s top businesspeople as part of a panel discussion on the challenges facing business in Western Australia, and how innovators can help to expand the region’s potential.

The first panel member is Michael Malone, who founded Western Australia’s first internet service provider from his garage. The company now has revenues of more than $700m. Also on the panel are Dale Alcock, who is the managing director at the ABN Group and a recognised leader in the housing industry, and Rick Hart, who ran the retail business that carries his name and was president of the Fremantle Football Club for several years.

Joining them will be Patria Jafferies, co-founder of Dome Coffees which has grown from a specialist coffee roaster to a multi-million dollar international business.

The event is an ideal networking opportunity for business owners from Welshpool, and there is still time to make a fresh order for business card printing to ensure a professional approach.

Three awards will also be presented at the breakfast: the growth entrepreneur award, the innovator award, and a special award for an entrepreneur who is either female, from an indigenous background, or aged under-35.

The breakfast takes place on Wednesday April 3, from 7:00 am to 9:00 am and will be held at Pan Pacific in Adelaide Terrace. To book a place, visit the Networking WA website.
