Road show a success for Western Australian Printers

Vendor Currie Colour Express reports that its three-day road show in Western Australia was a big success.

Adrian Dixon, the Currie Group Western Australian Branch Manager, said,

“Because the big trade shows are in Melbourne and Sydney, a lot of printers from Western Australia don’t get to go. The truck enables not only decision makers but production managers and machine operators to have the opportunity to view and test drive the machinery.”

The event gave local Print companies from places like Welshpool a chance to look at new equipment close up and make sure that they were buying the right tools for their particular printing company business. Dixon also said that some unexpected sales were made.

“We did notice that a lot of printers are now buying entry-level finishing equipment for their digital departments.”

Other equipment sold included a complete stitching line, Cron platesetter and a smaller folder, guillotine and creaser.

Driving the equipment to the printing companies in Perth has the advantage of providing customers in Western Australia the convenience of taking the equipment straight back to their business as soon as they purchase it.

Dixon was enthusiastic about the success of the venture:

“Over three days, around 30 customers came out. It was a big success and one of the best road shows that we have had,”

Since the favourable outcome of this event, it seems likely the road show will be getting ready to take on that big drive across the desert for Western Australian printing companies some time again soon.
