The Perth Fashion Festival is hoping to put its name on the map by hiring prominent consultants. One of these consultants is Michelle Jank, a successful stylist who splits her time between Sydney, London and Paris.
Jank is well-known in the fashion world as she has worked with Sex and the City stylist Patricia field. She also designs jewellery and couture. Her work has been praised by Vogue fashion editors around the globe.
Jank is being brought in as a creative consultant, but the specific tasks that will be assigned to her have yet to be disclosed. The organizers of the event, in addition to relying on poster printing and banner printing, have started that they are looking to build their brand internationally. In an effort to do so, they have brought in Pierre Toussaint, the noted fashion photograper, senior make-up artist Nicole Thompson and Brad Ngata, hair stylist to the rich and famous.
The festival will take place near Welshpool in September 2012. It will be attended by fashion designers, industry insiders, media, celebrities and many others. It has been announced that Nicole Pollard - currently hot property in the modelling world - will be the official "Face of the Festival.
This marks Jank's first stint as creative director for the festival. The director of this year's occasion, Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan, commented
"We are always looking to build on the festival's past successes by building the brand both nationally and internationally to provide WA's designers with an entry into new and exciting markets."
