Welshpool residents are being invited to join in the festive fun in the City of Canning in December with a special Christmas Festival.
The community event is being organised by the City of Canning Council and will be held around the Town Hall.
During the day, there will be children’s activities, displays from local cultural groups and live music and performances from community theatre group New City Theatre, which will be putting on four different shows.
A bouncy castle will keep the children entertained, while parents can pick up a few Christmas gifts from the art and craft stalls or sample some of the food on offer.
Families can make their own Christmas decorations to hang on the council’s public Christmas trees and Santa will be making a special visit during the afternoon.
With so many different things going on, festival-goers should keep an eye out for poster printing to show them where each activity is and what time performances are taking place.
There is still time for anyone who would like to have a stall at the event to make their application. Stallholders can sell food and drink, Christmas-related products or crafts, and need to register their interest with the council by Saturday, November 7.
The festival takes place on Sunday, December 6, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, and entry is free.
