British-Australian comic coming to Welshpool area

An esteemed events venue in Perth is set to host a writer comedian with British and Australian heritage for an intimate and engaging experience.

Those in Welshpool who enjoy the comedy, music and writing of the multi-talented Tim Minchin can see him in Perth in a new format. Entitled “Your Don’t Have a dream – A conversation with Tim Minchin”, the show will be at the Perth Theatre in September.

The event in Perth invites audiences to spend an enjoyable evening in the company of Minchin who is an internationally renowned singer/songwriter, comedian, musician, writer and actor. The event is designed to be times with his first ever non-fiction book, called “You Don’t Have to Have a Dream” and will see Minchin interviewed by a special guest sharing his advice and thoughts on subjects like success, love, kindness and art in what he feels is a “meaningless universe”.

Acclaimed for his sold-out comedy and music tours, he has also composed of music and lyrics for musical like Matilda and Groundhog Day, receiving Olivier Awards for both.

The show will be live on stage at the Perth Theatre on Sunday, September 29. The performance will begin at 7.30 pm and the theatre is located at 5 St Georges Terrace.
