Award-winning comedy comes to Welshpool area

An acclaimed theatre in Perth is set to play host to a multi-talented comedian this September.

With a slew of awards to his credit, comedian and thespian Omid Djalili will be performing at the Octagon Theatre in Perth, allowing his fans in Welshpool and other city suburbs to see him live and in person. The internationally famous comic’s latest tour, entitled “Good Times”, is designed to showcase Djalili’s thought-provoking, insightful and provocative performances that have seen him recognised on both the stand-up circuit and the cinematic world.

Along with performing in London’s renowned West End, he has also appeared on many television programmes, like the fantasy epics “Letter for The King” and the Philip Pullman tale “His Dark Materials” for the BBC. He has also presented and appeared as a guest on quiz shows in the UK.

On the big screen, he is best known for his role in “The Mummy” as the unsavoury Gad Hassan, a Cairo jail warden, and on stage in “The Fiddler on The Roof”.
