Currently 38 branches of the the St George Bank have closed and reopened as the Bank of Melbourne. This new bank will be using images of Melbourne to promote their brand in order to draw in new customers. The reason that this bank has embarked on this multimillion dollar marketing campaign is that they hope to make their brand more edgy and attractive to new customers. The bank will now use fashionable designs and colors in order to present a more stylish and modern look to potential bank customers.

The campaign is designed to target residents of Melbourne. This means that the bank is not actively searching for customers that live outside the city in Victoria or in other states. Because of this the campaign is not using images of famous Victorian icons.

For this campaign the bank will employ the services of a printing company in order to print brochures, posters, fliers and other print advertisements. It will also include billboard and outdoor advertisements as well as television advertisements.

The Bank of Melbourne plans to monitor social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter in order to engage with current and potential customers.
