The Arts Centre in Melbourne CBD will be opening its doors once more to the public at the end of June.
The Theatres Building, which is known for its iconic spire, welcomes back visitors just in time for the winter school holidays. The re-opening will take place in stages, beginning with the outdoor café, Protagonis to ensure that visitors are safely able to explore its spaces. This is achieved by unique dining options and self-guided tours.
A popular exhibition is The Australian Music Vault, which celebrates the story of contemporary Australian music. Australia is known as a land of storytelling and home to the planet’s oldest continuous culture and its music inspiration is drawn from its rich heritage and reflects its diverse population.
The Music Vault is a collaboration between the Arts Centre and the Australian music industry which offers visitors an opportunity to view iconic objects donated by well-known Australian artists and items from its Performing Arts Collection. Audience’s appreciation of music deepens through experiencing music making activities with its special online resources.
Another vibrant exhibition is Ghostly Machines, a vibrant technology experience that lights up the stage in an automated choreographed dance. Cultural venues similar to the Arts Centre may make use of flyer printing to advertise upcoming events and exhibitions.
The Arts Centre Melbourne re-opens on 27 June. Social distancing, hygiene and health rules will be in place to protect the public. Parking is available on site.
