British comedian to delight Melbourne CBD audience

Comedy fans in Melbourne CBD may wish to attend the show of one of the UK’s stalwart comedians, Mark Watson, when he performs a series of shows as part of the 40th Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Cambridge-educated Mark Watson has been performing on the comedy circuit for over 20 years, winning Best Newcomer at the Perrier Comedy awards in 2005. He also won a nomination for the Barry Award at the 2006 Melbourne Comedy Festival, which Watson now highlights as his favourite festival.

The 2026 show involves Watson reviving some of the best bits from his routines at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, taking in topics such as fatherhood, divorce, life expectancy and Google, with plenty of ad-libbing for good measure.

Time Out says of him:
“Watson’s energy is infectious…this is a genius-level comic doing what he does best.”

The organisers of large events such as festivals often draw on local printing services to produce advertisements on Posters, Banners and billboards, which can be displayed throughout the community.

Mark Watson – 20 Years of Doing My Absolute Bloody Best – is taking place from 7 until 19 April. The show lasts for one hour and the venue is the Supper Room at Melbourne Town Hall. Tickets cost from $32. This event is part of the 40th Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
