Popular art festival returns to Melbourne

The Affordable Art Fair Melbourne returns to the Hawthorn area this year, with a vast array of affordable pieces for keen art enthusiasts to add to their collection.

The fair will showcase many talented artists from across the country and will feature artwork from a number of different galleries. On display will be original contemporary paintings, prints, photographs and sculptures, priced for sale at up to $10,000. The Hawthorn Studio and Gallery will be one of the galleries featured at the fair.

Some of the artists will use printing services and graphic design techniques to display their work. The event will also include artistic performances, workshops, activities for children and entertaining music. Food and beverages will be available to purchase.

The Affordable Art Fair began in London and has been running for 14 years. Its mission is to make art affordable for everyday collectors. Over 3.1 million people have visited the Affordable Art Fair since its inception, and more than half a million pieces of artwork have been sold.

Opening hours on Thursday are from 5pm until 9pm, Friday from 10am until 8pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10am until 5pm.
