An upcoming October event will see a Hawthorn area venue hijacked by an award-winning band from the area.
Music lovers looking to make Halloween plans from Hawthorn and other suburbs will not want to miss the Spookapalooza event coming to Melbourne this October. For a single Sunday, the Grammy-award winning band Hiatus Kaiyote are taking over renowned venue Forum Melbourne.
Entitled “A Very Hiatus Halloween”, the festive fright night will be hosted by DJ Richie 1250 (also known as the Duke of Dread) of radio station PBSFM and will feature Hiatus Kaiyote as the headline act. Organisers of themed and seasonal event sometimes enlist professional banner printing services to create largescale signage to suit specific occasions at venues.
Described as a mini festival, the evening event will transform The Forum into haunted grounds for a night packed with music and Halloween activities. Synth maestros The Night Terrors will also perform, along with NightmAir, featuring Alon Ilsar, the Sideshow Maniacs and Uncomfortable Science: In Hell. There will also be a selection of creepy short movies shown and a spooky drag show.
Attendees are invited to come in costume, and prizes will be awarded to the best dressed ghouls and girls on the night.
A Very Hiatus Halloween will be held at the Forum Melbourne base at 154 Flinders Street in Melbourne on Sunday, October 30. The event will kick off at 7.30 pm.
