Business leaders from across Melbourne will gather for lunch next month in the latest of a series of networking meetings.
The Business Leaders Lunches, which are run by the Victorian Employers Chamber of Commerce and Industry, are an opportunity not only to hear from key speakers, but also to meet with other business owners and managers throughout the district.
At June's lunch, the guest speaker will be Jason Hincks, chief operating officer of Movember.
Movember is a charity organisation responsible for the moustache growing competition which takes place each year to raise money for cancer awareness. The event began as a small local idea and now runs in more than 20 countries and raises more than $400mllion each year.
Mr Hincks will talk about how the Movember idea grew through targeted marketing and by taking a new approach to communicating with customers.
As well as experience with Movember, Mr Hincks also has a strong marketing background with a Bachelor of Business and MBA qualifications and a career working in entertainment and the media.
The event is an opportunity for business owners from Hawthorn to learn new strategies for their own marketing campaigns and take inspiration from an industry expert.
With numerous potential new contacts in attendance, getting business card printing up to date before the event should also be a priority to ensure any promising new relationships can be followed up.
The lunch will be held on Wednesday June 26th at Crown Towers in Melbourne's Southbank, staring at midday. For more information and to book tickets, visit the Chamber's website
