Hawthorn to welcome classical jazz

A gifted jazz vocalist from Victoria will soon perform at a live music venue in Hawthorn.

The Lido Jazz Room in Hawthorn has confirmed it will welcome vocalist extraordinaire Michelle Nicolle to its stage this summer. February will find the talented artist from Melbourne unleashing her abilities for a live audience of jazz fans from the region.

From clubs and lounges to stadiums and arenas, venues of every scale hosting live music often rely on poster printing services to help them advertise the events they host with premium marketing materials.

Known internationally and nationally, Nicolle is a skilled improviser respected for finding the hearts of songs and sharing them. She has many accolades to her name including Mo Awards, a Bell Award for best jazz album of the year and a National Jazz Award. She is also a three-time ARIA finalist.

Commenting on her style, American musician and songwriter Kurt Elling said:

"Michelle is a singer born to sing, born to charm, enlighten and seduce through music.”

Nicolle has performed on stage with Elling accompanied by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. She was also served as a featured soloist with the Jazz at Lincoln Centre Orchestra. She will now be live at the Lido Jazz Room on Saturday, February 8. The show will get started at 8 pm and the venue is sited at 675 Glenferrie Road in Hawthorn.
