Hawthorn, located in the City of Boroondarra in Victoria, is set to welcome the music of Haydn, Mozart and Vaughan Williams this September.
The music will be presented in concert by Victoria Chorale and will be accompanied by The Art of Sound Orchestra and conductor Mario Dobernig.
Josef Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ralph Vaughn Williams are known as some of the greatest classical composers to have lived. Some of their most famous pieces, including Spring and Summer from Haydn’s The Seasons, Mozart’s rarely performed Kyrie in D Minor and The Lark Ascending from Vaughan Williams will be included in the concert repertoire.
Performances will also include choruses with solos by soprano Joanna McWaters, bass-baritone Christopher Richardson and Christopher Busietta, tenor. The venue, Hawthorn Arts Centre, has been the host of many different community events and prides itself on providing a diverse and exciting arts program to the Hawthorn area.
The show will open at 5:00pm on Saturday, September 17 at the Hawthorn Arts Centre, located at 360 Burwood Road. Tickets are $60 each and there are a number of concession options available. As an opportunity for family outings or Corporate Gifts, group seating is available at $48 per ticket for groups of 10 or more.
