A film celebrating a London Art gallery’s important milestone and a world-famous artist’s work will be screened in Hawthorn this spring.
Art enthusiasts in Hawthorn won’t want to miss the chance to attend an upcoming event at the Lido Cinemas. November will see the Hawthorn movie house present a film titled “Van Gogh - Poets & Lovers” dedicated to the influential Dutch post-impressionist painter.
Cinemas and theatres hosting art documentaries sometimes use brochure printing services to create plush Booklets featuring famous works that ticket holders can retain as mementos.
The film from producer Phil Grabsky and director David Bickerstaff was created in close association with London’s National Gallery, which is now holding an important event. It is 200 years since the gallery opened and a century since it first acquired works of art by Van Gogh, and the gallery is hosting the largest ever Van Gogh art exhibition for the UK.
The Hawthorn screening offers viewers a chance to reassess and understand the iconic artist and focuses on the painter’s original creative process. It explores van Gogh’s years spent painting in southern France, where the artist reinvented his style and became passionate about telling stories.
Van Gogh - Poets & Lovers will be on screen at the Lido Cinemas on Saturday, November 9 and Sunday, November 10. The cinema is sited at 675 Glenferrie Road in Hawthorn.Get a Free Quote for Booklets
