Hawthorn to host Christmas crafting workshop

A local florist is holding special sessions in Hawthorn later this year, to help people create their own Christmas wreath.

Melbourne florist Kelli Brown will lead two local workshops at Hawthorn Community House this summer. Just in time for the Yuletide season, the sessions will see the owner of Petal Provedore demonstrate how to make a Christmas wreath.

Successful florists sometimes wrap the bouquets they design and supply in branded tissue paper that features their unique Logo Design.

The upcoming Christmas wreath workshops have proved exceptionally popular in the past. As a result, there are two dates available in December for Hawthorn residents to attend. As there are limited spaces available at the events, those wishing to participate are encouraged to book their spot early.

The talented florist will explain how to design and craft a Christmas wreath, and participants can follow along, making a decoration to take home and hang up themselves. After a rewarding career working with the disabled community, Brown pursued her passion for floristry and established her home studio based in Mornington. She now produces bouquets, table centrepieces and floral crowns for weddings, while also selling assorted plants and candles.

The next DIY Christmas Wreath Making workshop will take place on Tuesday, 3 December between 7.30 pm and 8.30 pm at Hawthorn Community House. This can be found at 32 Henry Street in Hawthorn.
