Hawthorn to hold peer group

A special support group for young adults will soon meet in Hawthorn.

The local community-based supportive organisation Grow will be holding a group meeting next year. The organisation is inviting young adults seeking to improve and maintain their mental wellbeing at the upcoming event, which will combine social networking and training.

Not-for-profit and community-focused organisations can sometimes use brochure printing services to create branded Booklets full of useful information on training and development courses.

The Grow programme offers young adults the chance to connect with their peer group, meeting new friends and expanding their support network. Those attending are welcome to share their own experiences and listen to those of others in order to gain fresh insights.

While the meetings use a well-considered structure, they are run by members, with an atmosphere that is friendly and supportive, to create an effective learning environment. Attendees can work on their personal growth, learn ways to change negative thinking, use reason as a strategy, develop confidence, improve how they connect with other and discover their personal worth.

The group meetings are supported by a wide variety of social activities, including game nights and dinners.

The Grow peer group support meeting will take place on Sunday, January 2, 2022, from 7 pm until 10 pm, on John Street in Hawthorn. Admission is free to all who wish to attend aged between 18 and 35.
