Hawthorn hotel to host singing event

A choir club inviting guests to sing along to songs from a famous musical duo is due to take place at a hotel in Hawthorn this spring.

Those who enjoy timeless music and showing off their singing skills in Hawthorn can attend an event happening at the Glenferrie Hotel. The evening will be presented by Glee Club, and is a singalong dedicated to the folk-pop music of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel.

Hotels often consult with Stationery printers to create branded writing materials for their guests that feature their emblems and contact details.

The singalong event is around 75 minutes in length and allows participants to join in with renditions of Simon and Garfunkel songs. No auditions are necessary to take part, and attendees can sing as much or as little as they like.

Open seven days every week, the Glenferrie Hotel provides first-class food, beverages, accommodation and functions, but also hosts special events. Dating to 1875, the building was converted into a three-storey hotel in 1888 to meet increased custom from the opening of Glenferrie Railway Station.

The Singalong Simon and Garfunkel night will now be held at the Glenferrie Hotel on Monday, October 14. The singalong will start at 7.30 pm and run until 9 pm, and the hotel can be found at 324 Burwood Road in Hawthorn. Admission to attend the Glee Club event is priced at $20 per person.
