Hawthorn area to welcome Norwegian music

A successful singer-songwriter from Norway will take to the stage in Melbourne later this year for a winter gig.

Music lovers in Hawthorn who enjoy alternative pop will be happy to hear that Norway’s Girl in Red (Marie Ulven) will be bringing her Doing it Again Tour to Melbourne in July. The rising star of the alt-pop world will be performing a single night show at the coastal capital’s celebrated Margaret Court Arena to perform a set-list packed with popular tracks.

Known for her honest and heartfelt lyrics and sensitive production, Ulven has claimed a following if listeners from all over the globe. Her success has seen her come from humble origins to become an international streaming sensation.

The singer-songwriter recorded here first two extended plays in her bedroom but enjoyed break-out fame with her studio debut in 2021 entitled “If I could Make It Go Quiet”. The album won three Norwegian Grammy Awards.

Girl in Red will now be at the Margaret Court Arena on Wednesday, July 17. The concert will commence at 7 pm and the venue is situated on Olympic Boulevard in Melbourne. Tickets are available priced at $99.90 per person.
