Hawthorn football fans should make a date in their diaries for early next month when the Hawthorn Football Club Family Day takes place.
The event is being held at the Hawthorn Hawks’ spiritual home at the Glenferrie Oval. It is a great chance to get up close and personal with some of the players during a fun day out.
Entertainment includes a live stage show by Alvin and the Chipmunks, who will also be on hand to meet and greet visitors. A live band will provide entertainment for the adults and the team’s sponsors will be offering activities for all the family. The event will also promote the work of Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation, which encourages people to consider organ and tissue donation and is supported by the Hawks.
The Hawks players will be available for a limited time to sign autographs and have pictures taken with fans. Anyone who gets a great shot might like to think about using a professional printing company to create a high quality copy of the picture for framing or sending to friends. The 2013 guernsey presentation will take place on stage during the event and official team merchandise will be on sale for anyone who wants to take home the latest strip.
The family day takes place from 11am to 2pm on Sunday March 3rd and entry is free for members. Non-members are asked to make a gold coin donation. There will be food and drink available, but if families prefer they can bring a picnic.
