Crafters day out scheduled for Hawthorn

The Hawthorn Makers Market will return in May to showcase Melbourne’s best artisan products at a local venue.

Regarded by many as one of Melbourne’s oldest and most popular markets, the Hawthorn Makers Market brings together many of the city’s talented artists, designers and craftspeople on the first Sunday of each month.

Attendees are encouraged to have a chat with a range of makers as they peruse over 50 stalls selling everything from artwork, handmade clothing, knitted and embroidered crafts, jewellery, skincare, toys and homewares. The markets also feature a number of food-based and coffee outlets.

Products on display at the markets are handmade with care from local individuals and small businesses, with stallholders chosen based on the quality and range of their products. These monthly markets offer an important opportunity for independent artists and designers to engage with their local community.

Markets like this are also an opportunity for local artisans and craftspeople to sell their products and connect with current and potential customers. These small businesses often thrive on personal connections and individualised customer service. They may make use of Stationery printing services to produce branded Packaging, including thank you notes or Business Cards in their sales.

The Hawthorn Makers Market will return on the first Sunday of May, from 10 am to 3 pm, at Hawthorn Arts Centre.
