Women in Footscray and surrounds are preparing for the Black Wealth Connect Women’s Summit: Metamorphosis, which is scheduled to take place in early November.
The one-day event will focus on financial literacy and is dedicated to the strength and determination of women from the African diaspora. It will showcase the importance of economic strength for individual and community growth.
Attendees will partake in a thoughtfully tailored program, in which they’ll engage in discussions and interactive workshops, listen to empowering keynotes from stand-out community members, and be entertained by a diverse showcase of African live performance, art and pop-up stores featuring products from the diaspora.
Organisers and vendors contributing to similar events can use graphic design on Flyers, Banners and poster printing to advertise and help themselves stand out.
The theme of this event, “Metamorphosis”, emphasises the journey of women in the African diaspora, reflecting their ability to overcome challenges, adapt and grow, celebrating the power of community.
The summit is specifically designed for female entrepreneurs, businesses, educators, mentors, community leaders, creatives and health and wellness advocates. As an inclusive event, it is open to people of all genders.
The Black Wealth Connect Women’s Summit will take place on Saturday, 9 November, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. It will be held at the Footscray Community Arts centre, located at 45 Moreland Street, Footscray. Tickets range from $75 to 125.
