Community groups and not-for-profit organisation leaders from Tottenham and the surrounding suburbs are invited to boost their communication and management skills in an upcoming workshop.

The Tools for Positive Group Dynamics half-day session will focus on giving participants strategies to establish and maintain safe and respectful organisation cultures.

Hosted by the Maribyrnong City Council, the workshop is designed to teach organisation leaders how to create a workplace culture or group dynamic that enhances productivity and reduces friction between members. Over the course of the session, participants will develop a plan designed to prevent, manage and resolve potential conflicts within their business.

Topics to be explored on the day include the importance of a transparent and inclusive culture; how to identify potential friction points within community groups; how to implement effective communication strategies; de-escalation and conflict management techniques; and the implementation of dispute-related policies and procedures within an organisation.
