As part of an annual Heritage Festival, Tottenham residents can learn about the history of an important cultural events centre in nearby Maribyrnong.
Tottenham families with an interest in culture and heritage can enjoy this rare opportunity. Usually closed to the public, the listed events space, Jack’s Magazine, is holding an open day during the Australian Heritage Festival 2026, titled “Unlock the Change”.
Located just outside Tottenham, Jack’s Magazine was a storage site for munitions in the1870s before becoming a vibrant hub for heritage in the Garden State during the 1990s.
Places of cultural interest often count on skilled brochure printing services that can create high-quality Booklets supplying brief histories and highlighting points of interest for guests.
Visitors of all ages are welcome to attend the event and enjoy immersive guided tours that include access to the sites where gunpowder magazines were stored. Family-friendly activities on the day will include pony rides, face painting, puppet shows, heritage vehicle exhibits, food, live music and other entertainment.
Hidden histories can also be unlocked via a special QR code discovery trail.
The open day will take place at Jack’s Magazine on Saturday, May 2. The event will get started at 11 am and ends at 3 pm, and the cultural events space is sited at Magazine Way in the inner-city suburb of Maribyrnong.Get a Free Quote for Booklets
