A family-friendly day dedicated to playing pirates has been planned for children in Tottenham, Kensington and other suburbs that takes place onboard a real ship.
Tottenham families with little ones with a thirst for adventure can participate in an event called “Pirate Day” next month. Offering four hours of fun, the experience is taking place on a perfectly preserved three-masted ship just 15 minutes from the suburb, and is suitable for both children and their parents.
Organisers of children’s events sometimes trust professional poster printing services to create colourful promotional materials that appeal to parents and kids alike to grow attendance numbers.
Families getting onboard will find a wide range of activities planned with a pirate theme. Kids can get their own pirate’s name and a special (wash off) tattoo. Junior crew members will get to scrub the deck before tackling the rope swing, but there are options for quieter kids too, like the reading corner and crafting activities.
There will also be a chance to get dressed up in a pirate costume for “Fashions on the Plank”, as well as a special treasure hunt.
Pirate Day will now be held on the Polly Woodside on Sunday, November 16. The event starts at 7.30 am and ends at 11.30 am, and the ship is docked in South Wharf. Adult tickets are priced at $25 and child tickets are £15.
