Footscray music fans to hear rock all-stars

A word famous rock band from America will be performing a live set in Melbourne later this year.

Those who love alternative music in Footscray and other Melbourne suburbs will be able to catch the US icons They Might Be Giants when they take over the stage at The Forum for a single-night show. The upcoming performance in the coastal capital is part of an epic tour designed to celebrate an important milestone for band. 2023 is the 30th anniversary of their best-selling studio album “Flood”, which now has platinum record status.

Bands marking special occasions with tours often reach out to reliable poster printing services to create limited edition one-sheets which sometimes become valuable collectibles for fans.

Winners of two Grammy Awards, They Might Be Giants took their name from a friend’s failed ventriloquism act, which was in turn inspired by a film title. The band are currently working in their 23rd studio album to date. Over the years, they have gained acclaim for producing music for a wide range of applications, including television themes and incidental ad music.

They have also released acclaimed albums for the early-learning market including “Here Come the 123s”, “Here Come the ABCs” and “Here Comes Science”.

They Might Be Giants will play the Forum Melbourne on Saturday, October 7. The music venue is sited at 154 Flinders Street in Melbourne.
