Sesame Street's Elmo coming to Australia for a new show
Everyone’s favourite furry red friend Elmo will be back in Australia this year to spread a bit of fun for children.
The much-loved Sesame Street resident will be joined by a number of characters from the television show for a tour around the country and will be visiting Melbourne in July.
In the new show, Elmo and his friends travel the world learning the alphabet and finding out more about different cultures. The characters will learn how people in different cultures say hello and will be singing some new songs and performing new dances.
They include The Count, who will tell a special story and the Cookie Monster who eats a letter of the alphabet. The show will feature some favourite songs from Sesame Street as well as some new ones, which are sure to soon become classics.
The colourful show will appeal even to very young children with lots of action and chances for the audience to join in throughout.
The event will be held at the Clocktower Centre in Moonee Ponds on Thursday July 11th, making it an ideal family outing for residents of Essendon. Poster printing will be used to give youngsters the chance to take a treasured memento home from their day out.
There will be three shows, one at 10:00am, one at midday and another at 2:00pm. Each show has special tickets on offer with the chance to actually meet Elmo and have a photo taken. Tickets are available directly from the Clocktower Centre.
