Places on offer for popular Moone Valley Festival

Community groups and businesses from Essendon who would like to take part in next year’s Moonee Valley Festival have just a few weeks to make their applications.

The festival, which takes place in February, is one of the area’s largest community events and attracts thousands of visitors each year.

Now in its 39th year, the event includes live music and entertainment on the main stage and roving performers as well as workshops, market stalls, a business expo, and children’s rides.

The council is currently looking for local companies and community organisations to take part in the event, either by setting up a stall in one of the expo areas or by running an activity or demonstration that relates to their work.

Applications can also be made to run food sites either as a commercial business or as part of fundraising for a group, and for stalls at the craft market.

Successful applicants could use banner printing to advertise their stall, and think about using promotional Pens or other items to give away to remind visitors what they have seen.

Applications for performers and food stalls must be submitted by Friday, December 18, while all other applications must be made by Friday, January 8.

Application Forms can be found on the Moonee Valley City Council website. The festival takes place in Queens Park on Sunday, February 28.
