Nominations called for 2020 Civic Awards
Residents of Essendon and throughout the City of Maribyrnong are being called on to nominate worthy locals for the 2020 Civic Awards.
The awards are held each year to congratulate and recognise those living within the city who continually strive to help strengthen and build the local community and better the lives of others. In inviting nominations, Mayor Martin Zakharov said:
Nominations are open to organisations, businesses and individuals and all must study, work, live or be strongly connected to Maribyrnong City area.
The seven award categories include the Active Maribyrnong Sporting Awards, Enterprise Maribyrnong Awards, Youth Leadership Award, Volunteer of the Year Award and Citizen of the Year Award.
Nominations must be received by November 15. This will be followed with a presentation to award recipients at a civic event set down for late January, 2020. As part of the ceremony, the Mayoral Award for outstanding contribution to people’s lives and the City will also be presented by the Mayor. Banner printing services can be used by organisers of community events such as this to have branded materials ready to decorate venues.
