Food, wine and networking on offer in Moonee Valley

Entrepreneurs in Essendon can enjoy a great night of networking next month, when the Moonee Valley Council hosts its newly revamped gala business event. The evening will involve a gourmet meal which will be followed by wise words from some special guest speakers. There will also be plenty of time for professional mingling.

The main guest speaker at the event will be Professor Neville Norman, Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Melbourne. He has lectured at the University since 1973 and is widely regarded as an expert on economics and business issues. He is regularly asked to advise businesses and government organisations.

At the dinner, Professor Norman will discuss current economic trends and how these may develop in the future. He will also talk about how changes in the country’s economy can affect small businesses across a number of industry sectors.

With cocktails, wine, a three-course dinner and live entertainment, Moonee Valley Mayor Councillor Narelle Sharpe said the event was a good opportunity for local business owners to relax for an evening while meeting like-minded people and keeping up to date with latest business trends.

The event should provide some good networking opportunities and guests are likely to be preparing business card printing orders before they attend, so they can present themselves professionally to potential contacts.

The dinner will be held on Friday August 2nd from 6:00pm to 8.30pm at The Boathouse in Moonee Ponds. For more information or to book tickets visit the Moonee Valley City Council website business pages.
