Finding the grade at Essendon Royals
The Essendon Royals soccer club will soon begin grading and trials for the 2019 season.
The club has teams ranging from Mini-Roos (for players from 6-11 years) through to Senior Men and Women’s teams. Current players, especially those wishing to play at a higher grade next season, should also check the website to see if they need to attend trials. Grading will take place over three weeks, beginning with new players, then current players wishing to move up to Kangaroo or an A-graded team.
The club will be holding a presentation day for all its Mini-Roos and Junior players on Sunday September 16th at Ormond Park to mark the end of the season. Participation trophies will be awarded to all players. There will be a free sausage and bread for each player and lots of fun activities. A full timetable for the day is available on the website.
The seniors, reserves, 3rds, under-20s and master’s teams award presentations will be held on Saturday 22nd September at Trieste Social Club on Willow Street, Essendon. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased through the website.
Sporting clubs often use poster and flyer printing to raise awareness of their activities in the local community.
Grading will begin on September 24th. Any new player wishing to join the club should complete an expression of interest via the website.
