Essendon to honour American music icon
A tribute show dedicated to a world-famous US singer-songwriter will take place at an Essendon club in spring.
Those who love the music of Neil Diamond in Essendon are in for a rare treat this September. A show entitled “The Ultimate Neil Diamond Experience - Hot August Night” will be performed by rock band of talented players will be at the Essendon Bowls Club and the venue is inviting everyone from the suburb to attend.

The show takes its name from the double live album “Hot August Night” released by Diamond in 1972. The hit recording featured the celebrated singer, songsmith and guitarist performing at LA’s The Greek Theatre.
Diamond fans down under know that Hot August Night was one of the nation’s biggest selling studio albums ever. Between 1973 and 1974 it spent 29 weeks in the album charts number one spot.
The Ultimate Neil Diamond Experience - Hot August Night will now be on stage at Essendon Bowls Club on Sunday, September 22. The club can be found based at 50 Raleigh Street in Essendon and the show will start at 3 pm and end at 6 pm.
Tables at the venue can seat up to 10 people.
