Essendon residents invited to Indian festival cruise
Residents of Essendon are invited to partake in a special night-time cruise in celebration of the Indian Diwali festival.
An important part of the Indian cultural calendar, Diwali is a festival of lights celebrated across the globe in recognition of the end of the traditional summer harvest. Coinciding with the new moon, the darkest night of the lunar cycle, it is a celebration of light over darkness.
Essendon residents are being offered a unique opportunity to celebrate this year’s Diwali in a truly unique way through an inaugural Diwali boat cruise organised by Victoria Star Cruises. A four-hour event, the cruise will allow participants to indulge in a range of Indian entertainment and cuisines. Special holiday-related events such as this can benefit from flyer printing to advertise details to potential customers.
In addition to a mouth-watering selection of foods, cruise participants will also be able to enjoy Bollywood-themed dance numbers and music from DJs. Drinks, both alcoholic and otherwise, will also be available for purchase on the night.
The first Victoria Star Diwali Cruise is scheduled to depart from Docklands on Saturday, November 6th at 6:30 pm, and it will return at 11 pm. Tickets are available online, and children under six years of age are free. It will be a requirement that all guests are fully immunised against COVID-19.
