Essendon club to host 60s sounds
A band specialising in performing music from the 1960s are making a return to a popular venue in Essendon.
The Essendon Bowls Club is set extend a warm welcome to a local Melbourne band known as The Substitutes. Renowned for performing 60s music from the US and UK, the cover group have a history of successful appearances at weddings, club nights and other functions. Tribute and cover bands selling their services for important events often use professional business card printing services to create branded calling cards featuring their contact details that they can hand out to potential customers.
At the upcoming gig in Essendon, The Substitutes will be joined by horn players Brass Attack, adding an extra element to their performance of a wide range of 1960s rock classics. Musical groups and artists covered by The Substitutes include Jeff St John, Chicago, Len Barry, Georgie Fame, James Brown, Donovan, Young Rascals, The Beatles, The Foundations, Bob Dylan and George Harrison, to name but a few.
The Substitutes and Brass Attack will now perform live at the Essendon Bowls Club situated in 50 Raleigh Street in Essendon on Sunday, August 7. Doors to the venue will open at 2 pm and the bands will be on stage from 3 pm until 6 pm. Tickets are priced at $25 per person and those attending are invited to bring along their own snacks.
